Stretch Your Back: 15 Minutes to Start Your Day Off Right

15 minutes to start your day off right!

These are my favorite moves, no matter your age or fitness level, for stretching stiff muscles and increasing mobility the back. These stretches are great to do first thing in the morning - you can even do them in bed!

They also make a great way to wind down from the day or after a long walk or round of golf. Over time these stretches will help maintain and increase mobility and flexibility in your spine, allowing you to move with more ease throughout your day.

I've used these stretches with hundred of clients, many of whom are working with chronic pain due to injury, arthritis, surgery and degeneration of their spines.

I find these to be the most gentle yet effective moves for most bodies. However, always let pain be your guide - if it hurts, don't do it! Go slow and let your breath be your guide. If you catch yourself holding your breath, you're trying too hard.
